Special issue : Whispering Pines Threatened
Information posted on the Awakening Isis Newgroup
Anne and Alan, founders of the Awakening Isis Festival held at Whispering Pines, have
been actively supporting Whispering Pines and local residents in their fight against
this pig farming operation. Most of their news and infomration has been dessiminated
through the
Awakening Isis NewsGroup. Here is their original post about this situation, as well
as links to information, including letters to Members of Parliament and petitions,
that they made available.

Dear People,
I am asking you to be motivated by your love of Whispering Pines and
the generosity that has been shown us by Rolf and Eileen, to help
protect the site of both AI and KG Fests. I hope you will join in the
fight to help save Whispering Pines and the whole area from the
devastation of industrial pig farming. This is a multi- million dollar
deal, which is probably why the local governments are not helping.
I have uploaded to the "
Pig Farm" directory of this newsgroup the information you need to make
an educated decision on the subject.
I recommend that you send letters as well as doing
ritual for three consecutive full moons Oct 10th, Nov 8th
and Dec 8th. If you cannotdo a ritual on the full moon, then chose the day before
or the dayafter. Please send the energy from the ritual to Pendleton and see it
radiate outwards. Pendleton is the proposed location for the first of
three industrial pig farms. Also boycott pork products from Quebec.
The company is from Quebec and the pork is going to be sold in
Quebec. Quebec has made a moratorium on this kind of farming so the
industry came to Ontario where they can get away with this.
It would be a real shame to lose that whole area to pollution
(greenhouse gasses and possible contamination of the well water) -
not to mention ruining the lives of those who live in the area. I
spoke to Eileen recently about the subject and the pig farm will go
ahead if it is not stopped. We have a chance of stopping it though,
perhaps on the basis that it is an archeological site and potentially
a Native winter camp. This is what I'm hoping for and I have written
a ritual on the basis of this idea that is included in the "Pig Farm"
file folder. Please forward this ritual (as plain text or attachment)
to anyone whom you think may be willing to help.
There is also a letter I composed from the information
that was sent to me that I have addressed to Ernie Eves but there are lots of other
suitable people to write to so please send it on. Use it or write
your own to anybody whom you think might be able to help. Feel free
to use any angle that you think can help.
Mother Earth and the Ancestors would appreciate anything you can do.
